Happy Sunny Weekend

We have magnificent and rather perfect weather in the forecast for our long Bank Holiday weekend. I hope you have a good one. You will no doubt be pleased to hear that I will NOT be tackling any more hedges or doing any more gardening. I will try a little bit of sewing, safely!
Nothing quite like pegging your washing out.
Farmer Lynda already started!!!
What a beautiful picture.

I have quite a few photos now so I will write another post very soon.

Oh Dear!!!

 Just as things were improving!!!

Gardening is dangerous! On Sunday I fell backwards while wrestling with a tough branch. I have to revert back to shopping appointments this week. Everything is battered and bruised. Wrist is broken and in plaster.

I'm really sorry, both for my very good self and for my shop.

Just call me if you need anything. I have backup if I can't get to my shop.  No driving for 6 weeks!!! Good job I can walk everywhere, once my back allows.

Shop Information

Slowly does it...
My shop is now open most days and you can come without an appointment.
I am still booking appointments though. If you want my shop all to your very own self, that's the best way.

I'll be there Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 10am to 4pm Except this coming Thursday 13th, I can't open in the afternoon. I'm going for my final (fingers tightly crossed) medical check up.

I highly recommend that you call me 07807530441, ahead of your visit to my wonderful, and very fully stocked, shop.
You know things can change at the click of your fingers in real life!

See you soon x

Lynda's Stitching News

Farmer Lynda is making great progress with her Dinosaurs Quilt, a pattern from Elizabeth Hartman

She does exactly as the pattern suggests, cuts all the pieces and carefully labels them, she frightens herself when she gets to this stage, what with there being so many bits....

It's a means to an end and every dinosaur makes Lynda so happy once it's complete

All different shapes and sizes... This is my favourite so far

This tall one is so cute...

All laid out for a peep at the progress so far.
Dinosaurs and tasty, leafy things
Isn't she doing well!!

Stitching News

Thank you for the pictures once again.....

Wowsers!!! Sporty Sue made this.... It's foundation paper piecing, the freezer paper method. Such accurate pointy points!!! well done Our Sue. She's doing the Quilt Along with The Quilt Show.

These cushions were made by Sister Susie. She had started making the Quilt-As-You-Go blocks for a quilt a while ago and during the Covid year without classes in my shop, she decided to make the blocks into cushions. Toot toot toot Susie... you are so kind to have gifted them too.

Brenda Barbara finished her quilt top before the end of last year, It's a great design for using up scraps. She had been waiting for my shop to open so she could make a sandwich... Oooops, then we went into lockdown... It was going on too long so I offered to make the sandwich for Brenda... I do need to keep my customer sewing!!

Our Pam had the pleasure of my special sandwich making service too. These little Teddies have 3D ears, very cute indeedy. Now Pam can get on with the quilting.

During the very dry and sunny couple of weeks we've just enjoyed, Pam was able to use her lawn as a cutting table, ha ha ha, needs must... this will be the back of her next quilt, a huuuuuuge sandwich will need to be made!
