Catching Up...

Merrily finished her fabulous cushion.
She's making blocks from a book...
not Merrily's usual method...
she says it's 'proper patchwork'!

The back of Merrily's cushion...
There's a zip hidden just above the Flying Geese...
Up and Under, ha ha ha
Toot toot toot Merily.

Luna Twerly made this Bendy Bag, great colours...
The Zipped 'Jubbly'' (remember those?) was made using a You Tube video.

PM Pam is also following a pattern from a book.
It's fun making 'Wonky' on purpose!!

Monday Sheila ran this quilt top up in an hour...
My goodness she is a productive lady...
It's a pre-printed panel with a twist...

Queenie is winging it. She wanted to sew Hares
After the applique there was no plan.
After deciding to make Flying Geese, there was no end plan...
We played a bit...
Now there is a plan!!

Fiona Too had a plan... It was all running smoothly...
She changed her plan, she can... and she did...
Yeeeha! for PMS... Pleasing my (very own) self!!!

Sister Susie is quilting the cutest little dinosaurs!
She's done a bit of embroidery embellishment too.

Jean Bean spied opportunity to make a window sandwich.
Gosh... that there 3D effect is clever isn't it?

New fabrics arrived, lots and lots.... These are 80% cotton 20 % Polyester
It's actually upholstery fabric... which is for making bags you know!!!
Feels lovely and sews lovely.... extra wide too!

Toot toot toot.... a beautiful, fabulous and finished gifting quilt. Farmer Lynda put such a lot of thought into making this lovely quilted wall hanging, every detail is personal to the couple she'd going to be gifting it to. There's a big day coming up!

Chris came to the Cathedral Windows workshop recently.... such lovely colours! Although it isn't quite finished yet, she popped in to purchase backing fabric for the back as she's decided to make in into a cushion with a zip!

Toot toot toot for this one though.... a fabulous finish! Chris also came to the Pineapple Blossom workshop... beautiful Batik fabrics making up the 24" cushion....

and all the left over strips and bonus Half Square Triangles were used to make this absolutely fabulous cushion back... also with a hidden zip as per the instructions on the tab at the top of this blog.

Brand New Beautiful Batiks... All from Moda!
There have been lots of boxes delivered lately...
Do you know what that means? More customers declaring....
There's too much to choose from!!! Silly customers! ha ha ha

How can you have too much fabric to choose from? tut tut.

Stitching News

Rose was super excited to have made her sandwich because now she gets to quilt this beautiful project. She has a few ideas... and you know Rose great ideas!!

Lorna also came for Sandwich Saturday... she pinned a bit and shopped a bit then pinned some more then shopped some more... I'm not going to apologize for having so much wonderful, and evidently irresistible, fabric!!

Jenny is quite a recent fabric collector and finds herself already an addict to quilting... I see no problem there! She used some very strange stuff for her sandwich, I think it was some sort of upholstery wadding, already backed? Each to his/her own.

Tadaaaa and toot toot toot for this fabulous and finished... Made by New Sue, brand new, almost antique quilt... it's been stored and forgotten about... waiting for the perfect amount of time to pass before it's turn to be quilted... and that time has now arrived!!!

Gail finished her very posh cushion/pillow. Doesn't it look great!!
Toot toot toot Gail, It's a fabulous and finished project and it's given me an idea!!

Krafty Karen has started a new project... Beautiful Batik fabrics look sooooo good in applique, Karen's been inspired by Princess Jackie's work for a long time, now she gets to play too.

Gail is using surplus strips to make a top secret project...
PM Pam started it all off with a yellow one... so blame her!
There's going to be a Cushion Bombing fiasco soon!!!
