Stitching News

New Sue is very happy with her "Spinning Springtime" Wall hanging. She wanted it to look 'Daffodilly' and 'Muddy Grassy'... just like real gardens at the beginning of Spring! I think you will agree that Sue's project is very 'Daffodilly' and 'Muddy Grassy'. She has plans for other flowers now, all seasons will have a quilt.
Giggly Gillian finished fussy cutting out her roses and had them all stuck in place with Steam-a-Seam 2 light, a very easy to use 'sticky-stuff'. After adding the very pretty border fabrics, Gillian set about stitching round all of the tricky shapes with a rather beautiful King Tut thread.
Oh my goodness... how cute-tey-cute is this quilt??? Last week there was just the one little duckling and that was cute enough!... Princess Jackie's quilt top went home all pinned up ready for quilting.
Early Sue's Batik Bargello... made from half of a jelly roll with the addition of border fabrics... who would have thought that one Jelly roll could produce a whole quilt? I know they tell you it does but now we see it...
The Batik Jelly Roll Sue chose was 2 3/4" wide, even though it's a Moda one.
I thought I would show you this cushion, purchased by a customer who bought it in to show to us... £6.99, lovely idea, rather cute, quite well made... no wonder folk under value craft eh. Twas made in a foreign land, I bet the maker didn't have the fun we do either.
