Even though our normal quilty meeting fun was cancelled, we met in Kettle Corner for a cup of tea/coffee with a little show and tell anyway. What fun, it was all Happy New Year, what did Santa bring for you and 'happy holiday' type of chat. Wendy brought this cushion made with the 10 minute block and Cathedral Window bits... stunning, the black bits are just perfect to set of these colours....
Annie Pie has been busy quilting. The colours are so happy and summery, we almost felt a bit warmer! (OK , I am being just a little dishonest here) This quilt has simple diagonal lines as the quilting which looks great... sometimes that's all a project needs to be just right.
This is also Wendy's, it's a finished quilt top made with Civil War fabrics from a Civil War quilt pattern book. Wendy says the methods used wasted lots of pieces of fabric... Lucky Helen got to take those home with her , grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Had it been a normal meeting, Wendy would have been making a sandwich with this top... sorry Wendy.
We will be meeting again on Friday 7th January 2011 in Blythe Bridge Village Hall, 10am - 3pm... oh... I know I already told you but you might have missed it.... see you there?
