Sneak Preview

Sheila and I spent sandwich Saturday playing... no-one needed the tables this week and my very own quilt shop was relatively quiet.... it's very predictable, lovely sunny days are grabbed for gardening chores! I recently volunteered to make the 'Angel' sashes for the upcoming Uttoxeter Quilt Show... They,Traplet, weren't sure what colour they wanted... and you must know me by now... why have just the one colour when you could use the whole rainbow!!! Sheila's got a very clever embroidery machine, I've collected many amazing embroidery threads... perfect playmates.

Morning Judith's Crumbs with Mile A Minute blocks
Sandwiched and ready for quilting with her walking foot.

AnnBacan's centre on her Lone Star wasn't playing nicely
so we took the decision to replace it with a new one
Jan is using up the remaining pieces of fabric for her sampler quilt...
she needs two more blocks after completing these framed Hour Glass blocks.

PM Pam's Lone Star has been an upward learning curve...
It's been well worth all the fiddling and fudging, don't you think?

Gail finished her Large Reversible Bag, my picture is rubbish!

Susan finished her Large Reversible Bag, a better picture this time

PM Pam's second of three Large Reversible Bags...

Stitching News

Josie found a pattern in one of those £2.99 books from Aldi.
Of course she didn't remember bring the book with her to class...
this is what we made from Josie's description... didn't we do well!
Di Butterfly is using a pattern from a British Patchwork and Quilting magazine...
the red quilt you see there in the picture.
She's learning lots about sewing with triangles
Barbara BB's feeling very proud of her very own self.
She stitched the morning away enjoying the company around her...
Patchwork and quilting really does get easier as time goes by...
practice makes perfect... you surely heard that many times before?

Bitten by the 'sewing pre-cut squares bug', Peggy chose a Charm Pack ready to make a lap quilt ... all for her very own self.
We had fun choosing the lay out... but that's a whole 'nother story.

Fabulous and finished... toot toot toot
Christabelle made this quilt for gifting... a very lucky fellow will be extremely happy to receive it I am sure. The pattern is from one of the Jelly Roll books... of course you don't have to use a Jelly Roll, Chris had a ball choosing her fabrics to suit the theme for her musician... who plays guitar...
