Quilt Cave

Anita's hands carefully joining her 4 'quilt as you go' blocks, making sure to line up the sashing strips. She bought these fabrics especially for learning new technics.
This is the "A" side, the stripes actually make a cool effect the way they weave.

This is Anitas "B" side, kind of the same, but completely different....
Sally only had time to make this one block with the 'quilt as you go' method. The plain block was to practice with the Bernina number 4 stitch, which we love!
Ana made 9 'quilt as you go' blocks, even though she only needed 8, he he he... with two sets of 4 blocks joined together using the apartment quilting method.....

... she continued to make a tube which was turned into a bag in no time!
Ana's Square Dance quilt, looking fantastic! She will add a few more details to the borders before it gets 'sandwiched'.
Anita has these half square triangles left over from her Pineapple Blossom quilt so, with the addition of the dotty fabric, she will make them into a quilt influenced by one I made.....
Irene wasn't able to stay long today but she did bring in this lovely rag doll to show us ......

... and this lovely box that she made in a class with Ana as her teacher at Arco Iris A Metro.

It was a beautiful sunny day, we had the door open all day! The forecast is for more sunny days which will be perfect for the Hand Dye Workshop on Sunday.
