This is the quilt that Garen was working on last Tuesday. Remember I told you there was a 'story' with it. Each of these blocks was made for Garen by members of the Manza quilt group in Malaysia.
They made them as a leaving gift for Garen as she had to move on, as we ex-pats do. What a lovely leaving gift. Garen set to and pieced the quilt top, quite soon after receiving the blocks, but... she didn't do the quilting...
the quilt top has been waiting since 2002! Well, it is quilted now, and the funny thing is, that now she has her Bernina Aurora, with it's BSR, Garen knows that the quilt was just waiting for her to own this fabulous machine.
