Uttoxeter Quilt Class

Giggly Gillian started a new project. She's going to make 36 of these 12 1/2" Churndash blocks for a bed quilt. Her intention had been to make a 7ft square quilt but it might shrink depending on her progress as she needs it for December. She has cleared her diary for the next three days to get cracking....
Jenni has been doing homework too. She had almost finished all the quilting on this wall hanging when she arrived. A few lines stitched around the border using the fabulous Bernina walking foot guide and 'twas all done, time to trim and add the binding!
Lizzie's blocks are looking fabulous. We popped up to The Craft Locker to choose and buy sashing fabric, selected a perfect fabric to use as corner stones and joined it all together...
At the same time Lizzie is working on another project with these Ohio Star blocks. After making the sampler, Lizzie has decided that she prefers to make quilts with only one block design, I'm sure this will change over time though... not that there's anything wrong with one block quilts!! What ever makes you happy is good and fine in my very own opinion!
AJ was with us too but somehow her project escaped my camera. She's working on a very bright little quilt and has challenged herself with a pieced border and I can safely promise you that it is looking wonderful!
Dotty Maureen visited us to give the ladies chance to read the fabulous comments she had received from the Festival Of Quilts judges, in hope of inspiring others to enter the Uttoxeter quilt show early next year.
We meet again for Quilt Class at The Bank House in Uttoxeter next Tuesday 7th September, 10am - 3pm.
