Stitching News

Jennifer came for her first class last week and had finished her table runner centre at home so, she started class this week by choosing her border fabrics and completed the top. She's ready to sandwich now. Are Jennifer's colours making you think of warm tropical seas?... or, closer to home, England... folk blue with cold? ha ha ha ha
Jolly Jo saw a perfect bag pattern in her new book. It was just the ticket for an upcoming birthday gifting... then she decided to 'Bargello' it which is going to make it even more special... and a bit more complicated and, quite possibly, not finished on time...
No pressure Jo, we're all watching now!

Jenny Barlaston is making two baby play mats, that look just like quilts, both at the very same time. She sandwiched them both during class so has enough quilting to be getting on with at home...

As you can see the two are both exactly the same and yet, completely different! They've got fun Cool Cat's fabric for the backing, lots of fun things to look at with these fun quilts baby play mats.
Barbie finished her quilting... and what a fabulous job she did!
Having thoroughly enjoyed the process of cutting for the fabric strips used in her braid borders and having got slightly carried away whilst cutting, she had loads of strips left over... I hope you can see that Barbie has joined them all together for her binding... very cool indeed!
This quilt top was made by one of the lovely ladies who's a customer in My Very Own Shop, that's just had it's very own party. She was choosing her backing fabric and wadding so the next time we see this lovely quilt it could be finished. A fabulous and funky design isn't it?
