IWP & All Day Sewing

Today IWP Quilt Group was opened up to visitors, some stayed for only a few hours and some bought a packed lunch and stayed all day. It was fun, as usual.

This is Sally posing, like a super model! ... this had us laughing already!
This is also Sally, with her finished Pineapple Blossom Quilt, remember this fabric is mostly from the fabric sales we have had recently.
This is Sue's Christmas table runner, Sue is in the middle, Arabela to the left and Ana on the right.

These Elks belong to Sally (right) and Anneliese (left)
Anita (left) and Amalia (middle) are working on the Pineapple Blossom project... thank goodness Anita likes her bright fabrics!! Ana (right) is working on her own design, also with bright colours, the quilt will measure 2.5 metres square.
At this point we have the unsewers, that is, those ripping out their stitches!

A group shot, it was a full Quilt Cave for a while....
Irene was choosing just a few more fabrics!
All the fabric we have now will be made into quilts to be given to a charity. We have enough money to buy good batting and the threads... A project for the new year!
Two strips of Ana's blocks... fabrics from Patch-Mania in Oeiras....
Helen called in to have lunch with us... She has been busy lately. This is the 'stained glass window style quilt that Helen started a while ago...
and this is the back, I love it when the back complements the front of a quilt.
Helen's table runner, these fabrics are from Patch-Mania in Oeiras.... where you can have your family and friends buy you a voucher to spend on gorgeous fabrics... tee hee, I'm not joking... go look at the blog!
