Quilt Class

Choosing fabrics is probably the most difficult part of making a quilt, some people know exactly what they want, some people are blessed with the ability to combine, others find it traumatic.
Anita was trying to choose fabrics for a new project today. With a focus fabric chosen, we started our way through the shelves in Arco Iris A Metro. This photo shows the fabrics we came up with.... Not convinced, Anita went back to her sewing.... she looked preocupied.... I suggested that she might try something very different, just to see some brighter fabrics....
She bought them, all of these bright fabrics and will make a Pineapple Blossom quilt.... I think it will be fabulous.... Oh I hope she enjoys making this!! it is so far from her original choices...
Ana, on the other hand, is one who knows exactly what she wants to use in her quilts, she chose these fabrics today. It was when I saw Anita looking at them and admiring them that I decided to help her choose similar ones.... you see how I write that... I decided to help her... poor Anita..
Claudia, one of last week's new ladies, is not enjoying her project because she doesn't like the fabrics she chose to use, she will finish a very small block, just to practice everything. The next project might well be a scrappy one.

Ana bought in her paper pieced Christmas Tree quilt. Each one of these trees is the same but different...
Ana appliqued presents and embelished them with lovely ribon ...

These corner squares look fabulous too, there is a story to them... can you figure it out?
