Stitching News

Polished trumpets at the ready for Barbie... toot toot toot. She finished her long term project of the appliqué Vase. This was started well over one year ago. Barbie had put it to one side to make quilts for other lucky people... tis now finished and looking rather special to boot, don't you think? and the chevron binding finished off the quilt beautifully.
I'm very sure you can see the fabulous quilting Barbie did from the back view, toot toot toot once again Barbie... and more braiding... Barbie loves to make the braids.

I was digging in my scraps during Saturdays workshop... I took a few thousand containers to class so that the ladies at the workshop could use some of my lovelies... I found these, ready cut, Stacked and Whacked, Kaleidoscope pieces... a different shape for an alternative effect. They're left over from a quilt I made for my nephew... only about 9 years ago!
Helen's quilt top is growing fast. She added a coping strip round the main centre to bring everything back in line. It's looking rather exciting isn't it.
Designed be Helen, all by her very own self!

The quilted vase appliqué is fabulous, bet it looks even better in the flesh, well done Barbie. I am definitely going to have a go at a appliqué workshop in the future. Chatty Cathy
