Stitching News With Tooting

Joan The Shop is one of the lucky ladies who received a new Juki HZL 600F from Santa. Joan had a long enough list of projects to make before when she was stitching on her Janome sewing machine... I don't think there's a piece of paper long enough for the list now! ha ha ha
Toot toot toot Joan, your first finish for 2014 on your lovely new Juki!
Marilla gets a tooting fanfare too. Toot Toot Toot!
A fabulous kiddy play mat style of quilt, beautifully hand pieced and hand quilted. Marilla did get out her machine to stitch on the binding but confessed that it would have been quicker for her to have done it by hand... no matter, the result is lovely.
Morning Judith received a Kaffe Fassett Jelly Roll in her festive stocking, what a lovely son she has! Judith's not wasted any time in using it up (I thought Jelly Rolls were for collecting to look pretty!) the centre has been made with only the Jelly Roll and, after a little rooting in my shop of beauties, the borders were selected, sandwich time!
Sheila had attended the first of the Crumbs and Mile A Minute workshops. She continued to make blocks over the months until she had enough for this fabulous quilt top... to think that some people throw these scraps away!! Sheila's adding borders at the moment so there'll be yet another sandwich made soon enough.
The second Crumbs and Mile A Minute workshop is planned for Saturday 1st March, I have updated the workshop list now, you can see all the details by clicking on the tab at th top of this blog.
