Jutta (peeping over the top in this picture) bought along her giant quilt top to show to us. She has been working on this for a while, no wonder... it measures 3metres by 3metres, they had to stand on chairs to get the quilt in the picture and it is still bunched up at the bottom... I bet it will be a devil to quilt. That is Therese studying it .
We have now started our Winter Round Robin project. This week we had to come to group with a 4 1/2" block made in winter colours. Each one was put into a brown envelope and swapped with someone else. For next week we have to add a 4 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece to the side of that block and also a 3 1/2" x 9 1/2" piece across the bottom.
Cathy is working on quilting her paper pieced Christmas Tree, Therese is always on hand to help hold a quilt for a photo shoot!
Bette is also at the quilting stage with her tree. They look the same but I promise you they have one each!
Busy bees, we share tips and ideas constantly. There is always pleanty to talk about with quilters!
Some of us bought in the Round Robin quilts that we made last time, to inspire us all. They are fabulous and we all enjoyed seeing them again. This is Susan, Anneliese and Ursula studying them.
The next IWP Quilt Group meeting will be on Thursday 23rd October.
