Stitching News

Irene was thrilled to hold up her lovely quilt top, it's a great design. There will be borders added next so it looks like this quilt will be a 'good' size... that's a careful way of saying 'a big one'... it doesn't sound quite as scary does it... he he
Stephanie Iceland treated her very own self to a day in our Quilt Cave because there was a delicious sandwich to be made, she had attended one of the Stack-n-Whack Kaleidoscope workshops recently and made a fabulous quilt with, what looks like, about a thousand blocks.

Chris The Foot finished quilting the centre of her giant, and splendid, bed runner so it's time to do those inner borders with her walking foot... Chris has threatened that she might just free motion quilt her borders!!

Gail has been watching the blog photos and found herself inspired by Morning Judith's recent finished quilt. Gail had rummaged through the left over Jelly Roll strips and ran up this little beauty... borders were added by the end of our day, in between chatter and giggles!

Wendy has been quilting her rather stunning Bargello quilt with 'Points and Bellies'...  it's a great way to add curves to your project without scaring yourself about the fact that they are actually 'curves'!

Marisabelle's stunning quilt top! It's really lovely and very bright... and smiley.
She found the pattern in a quilting magazine and knew instantly that she had to make it. Don't those Churn Dash blocks look fabulous set on point!

This is Wendy's latest project, well at least it's one of them! She's using the Square Dance pattern to make up a simple bag... one for the front and another for the back.

Joan The Shop is back from her travels. Her Brother was absolutely thrilled with the  Chocolate Fish quilt, I'm not sure why Joan was worried really, it was a most wonderful gift. Anyway, Joan is super happy to be able to move on to another project... a sampler quilt... and yes... it will be a big one!
