Stitching News

Lovely Lyn and a few of the Tuesday ladies, had decided to work on a wall hanging together. They will each use the same pattern but choose their own fabrics... it's quite interesting watching them come together. It's not a race nor is it a competition, yet! ha ha ha
Early Sue finished the quilting on this extremely gorgeous lap quilt, trimmed the crusts off and made her binding. This project used only half of a Moda Batik Jelly Roll, the width of which is 2 3/4" per strip by the way, giving you a little extra width... plus the border fabrics.
Tooting time... first for PM Pam
She finished her baby play mat, it does look like a quilt, doesn't it? Ha!
I feel sure that Pam will be making more of these little beauties, baby news is popping up everywhere  so she wants to be prepared.
New Sue is ready for our fanfare too, also, as well.... toot toot toot.
Sue's Jelly Roll quilt influenced Morning Judith's... which in turn inspired Gail to make one, all with different colour choices and all are FAB-U-LOUS! Sue's quilt needed one and a half Jelly Rolls because she wanted it bigger than the original pattern, she actually made twin quilts, the other needs a few more stitches yet though.
If you visited this wonderful and inspiring blog (he he he)  last week you would have seen pictures of Sue's latest finish being  discussed... she was pondering how to quilt it.
This isn't a great picture but I am sure you will be able to make out the Free Motion Stars Sue stitched... brilliantly!
