Stitching News

Sheila's first workshop for this 3D Folded cushion filled up very quickly so we booked a second one for the 6th of September... Sheila made this second sample in festive fabrics to give more fabric choice ideas. It seems we already might need a third workshop date for this fun project.
Merrily's making another wonderful memory quilt for another of her grandsons.
She's been collecting pieces of fabric that represent his life so far, a football fan so the setting had to be black and white... I forget which team.
There's some tricky piecing going on for Merrily!
Di Butterfly finished her lovely quilt top.
She had pieced the backing fabrics too so, she made her sandwich. It then, very quickly actually, got folded up and popped into a bag ready to be started at home... Di's making a kiddy's play mat now, using one of our pre-cut packs with 30 different 6" squares.
Dilly learned how to join her fabulous quilt pieces apartment-ly...
She was quite surprised how easily it's done and how quickly it comes together... that's until her super-duper sewing machine decided that it wanted to play stitch hopping...
it has to go back to the machine hospital emergency room...
she's got four days off work... that's a sewing emergency indeed!
