Uttoxeter Quilt Class

We had a bit of a disturbed start to our day, the door to our little room had locked itself, well and truly, so we had to wait for a locksmith to arrive... it didn't take us long to get back into the swing of things though (it's up to you whether you believe that!... me, I need smooth starts to my day! ha ha)
Gillian kept telling her quilt how much she loves it... she is so impressed with the way it turned out which is just the best news!! next time she will be making a sandwich with a pieced backing made from all the left over fabrics from the top, this she will prepare at home, weather and weeds permitting...
Messy Maureen never stopped today, she was able to complete her quilt top. It's a pattern from a Woman's Weekly magazine. I've borrowed it because it's a great quilt for learning about colour placement... we decided it would be a good one for Mr. Rubik... you know, the guy with the cube no-one could sort out without being a genius.. ha ha ha Maureen will place this quilt top on her bed to see whether she will add borders or not... this will be her biggest project to date, I can't say she's looking forward to the quilting, he he
Our new lady, Lovely Lyn, came back for more... he he he, she was soooo excited about coming, this lady is showing serious signs of full addiction for patchwork and quilting... no going back... Today she added the three borders, each one a different width, to her baby quilt top. I think you will agree that it looks fabulous. Lyn says two weeks is too long to wait for her next class... In summer months we usually meet fortnightly and we meet almost every week for the colder months... If the ladies want to have classes every week, we will... but for this time, the next class will be on Tuesday 21st June, 10am - 3pm... but it is full, sorry, there's room at Caverswall Quilt Cave though... just up the road ooooh about 20 minutes from Uttoxeter...
