Caverswall Quilt Cave

We had a few cancellations today... the blizzard caused some ladies to stay home and some were snowed in... last week we were putting on sun cream! The weather's gone nuts.... Oh well, we were still 10 if you count me myself, yours truly...

Chatty Cathy had gone home from last week's class all excited... you can see... she was so excited to see her quilt top coming together that she finished all the blocks and got them all pieced together. Doesn't it look great? This week she added an inner border of scrumptious red ready for the outer border, which will be fabulous.. lots of cutting though, we'll see the progress next week.
Gail finished the fabulous backing for her black and white Pineapple Blossom quilt... she needed a lot of tables to make her sandwich.. I wonder whether you remembered that this is Gail's second quilt? The first was a Railfence Table Runner... Gail asked... "How do I get all this through that little hole"... I told her... pushing and shoving, it's the only way!! ha ha ha.. can you see the red inner border... just lovely!
Arty Beryl came to play... she can do that in the school holidays because her College course also takes a break... She's making a Bargello Quilt for a Japanese lady friend... what a lucky friend eh! Beryl enjoys catching up with what we've all been doing... Wendy's working on her Pineapple Blossom quilt too.. I didn't get pictures, you'll have trust me when I tell you... WOW!
We meet again next Wednesday 11th April at Caverswall Village Hall.. 10am - 3pm, as usual.

We had a lovely sunny day yesterday here in London so it is weird hearing about your blizzard in April. Luckily you have lots of beautiful quilts to keep you warm! xx
