Annual Pilgrimage to Festival of Quilts @ NEC Birmingham

Sunday 2nd August. £40 includes show entrance ticket

Shop open Tuesday 4th August.

Shop Closed on Thursday 6th August until Tuesday 11th August

Open as normal from Tuesday 11 August - Saturday 15th

Shop Closed Tuesday 18th, 19th, 20th

Shop open and back to normal from Friday 21st August 

Sewing Retreat, ATM fully booked.

Sunday 18th October - Wednesday 21st October
3 Nights & 4 Days @ Hawkstone Park, Shrewsbury.

£495.00 to include single occupancy accommodation. Fully catered.

Most importantly, you'll have unlimited access to the sewing room for the 4 days!

£70.00 will secure your place . This is a non refundable deposit.

Weekday Classes are follows:-

Tuesdays... 9.30 to 3.30 = £25

Thursdays... (9.30 to 12.15 = £15) or (1pm to 3.30pm = £15) or (9.30 to 3.30 = £25)

Fridays... Classroom activities vary according to what customers need.

Saturday Sewdays... 9.30am to 3.30pm £25.00

What is a Sandwich day?

It's a day when I push my tables together in the classroom so that you can pin (sandwich) the 3 layers of your quilt, no matter how large or small it is, without having to crawl around on the floor and without having to spoil your best dining table with pin and tape marks!

Book time slots @ £10.00 per sandwich between 10am - 2pm, booking is required.

You can also use the tables to lay out the blocks you've made to decide on settings, or to see how many more blocks you need or... even better... to help you choose fabrics!

Patchwork And Quilting for Beginners

Dabble in all aspects of patchwork and quilting...

Accurate cutting using a mat, ruler and rotary cutter.

Sewing an accurate quarter inch seam allowance with, hopefully, straight lines.

Good general piecing skills with top tips to help with seam matching.

Good pressing technique… a very important skill.

How to make and a small quilt sandwich.

How to quilt and, if there’s still time left we can turn your project into a lovely cushion with my fabulously easy zip inserting method. 

The workshop starts at 10am and we should be finished by 3pm... 

What a lovely way to spend a day... then if you find you are hooked... and that happens a lot... you can start thinking about what to make next.
