Here is Paula showing us a small project made by Noemia (right).
The lady in the middle of the action is Mafalda, she came for the first time today to learn patchwork so that she can teach it in her own shop.
Quilting is getting very popular in Portugal now!
This is a baby quilt made by Dona Paula, she was fussy cutting the centre blocks last week, now it is finished!
This is also Dona Paula's work.
A beautiful Lasagne Quilt top.
This is a huge project so we have a small problem with space.
Luckily Noemia volunteered a school gymnasium, you don't get much bigger floors than that!!!
Here are some of the blocks that Ines has been working on, It is going to be a lovely quilt for her Mum.
Bet you guessed this one, It is the Blue Lady's table runner. At the end of class today it had the borders sewn on, she went home to prepare the backing so next week we will make a 'sandwich'.
Noemia's Green Quilt, finished.
She did a great job with the backing too, she says it wasn't easy but it was definitely worth the effort!
I think it is fabulous!
This is a photo of Sao's hand quilting, she got a lot done since last week. Today she started cutting pieces for her next project, a sampler.
