Stitching News

It's a lovely idea to make a personalised quilt for someone. It does take a while to collect the fabrics you might want to use but what a lovely gift! Christabelle collected lots her fabrics and designed appliqué for all other subjects... all representing the interests of the lucky fellow. The top is finished so it's time to sandwich and quilt.
Jan very proudly held up her lovely Railfence table runner. She used the splendid binding tutorials, found by clicking the tabs at the top of this blog, to finish it over sewing prevention season and was able to make a co-ordinating cushion from the left over strips.
Monday Sheila wanted to play with the fancy stitches and letters on her new sewing machine and was quite amused to find so many characters from 'furrin' alphabets. It's always a good idea to bring your machine instruction books to classes.
Monday Sheila's making a set of kitchen gadget covers. This is one side for the Kenwood mixer. Ohio Star blocks will be the main theme for each cover... they should really brighten up Sheila's kitchen, don't you think?
PM Pam had been enjoying her Christmas Wreath table runner over the holidays... she found that she missed it after putting Christmassy stuff away so she ran up another little quilt to fill the space, licketty-split... I bet it's on Pam's table already!
