Quilt Cave

Rosalia (Blue lady) completed all the blocks for her Easter bunny wall hanging. She doesn't like pink much so his ears are yellow. Rosalia is quite new to quilting, she says that she has learned a lot about acuracy, ironing and piecing with this project.
I gave a short demonstration on piecing 'crumbs'. This is Irene's pile of scrap fabrics, she loves working with tiny bits so this project is right up her street...
Ana had left her box of scraps in the car, she had decided it wasn't the project for her.... this is her pile of scraps... she fetched them in after watching my demo....
Anita bought her scraps too but forgot her tin of tiny scraps, even though she had reminded Ana to bring hers!

Sally made 2 crumb blocks, just to learn how... they will be made into pot holders.. in fact, they are probably grabbing pots right now... with the speed Sally makes things... he he he

So, Irene made 4 x 6inch blocks, all in 'country' colours which she loves.
Ana completed 4 blocks too, and admitted that she had loved making them!
In the meantine, Arabela finished the blocks for her long term log cabin project. She had lots of them stitched together before she had to run.... and I do mean run home to relieve her babysitter.
Ursula quilted another charity quilt and Therese finished the rest of her bunny blocks, but my photos were very blured.
During the morning we also had a visit from Mario Felizardo (our Bernina guy) he demonstrated to us how we should all be keeping our machines clean and oiled. Even for the none Bernina owners.
