Uttoxeter Quilt Group

It was strange having our meeting on a Wednesday, different atmosphere at the hotel, but at least everyone remembered to come on the right day. Dotty Maureen was working on her secret project, a little trapunto this time.... you can spot her in the top right of this picture with the quilt back blocking us from the Big Secret. Bottom right is Shirley Lerly's Chunky Churndash, she is learning about 'fudging', a very necessary skill in patchwork... left bottom is AJ (Angela that's not me) ... she keeps her work station tidy eh!
well.... quite tidy, he he he, she made 72 half square triangles ready for the Saw Tooth border on her Log Cabin (Lilly's Colours) quilt.
Giggly Gillian has finished all the quilting on her Log Cabin quilt, lots of big stitch quilting which looks fabulous! Here she is happily trimming away the excess from the edges.....
... and here joining lots of animal print fabric for the binding, which she managed to finish and get stitched onto the quilt ready for hand stitching the back at home. She says that she will continue to work on her Cat Quilt too.

We meet again next Tuesday 11th May, 10am till 3pm (or possibly 4pm.... tut tut, you know how it goes!)
