caverswall Quilt Cave, part 2

Brenda Barbara made her continuous binding and machined it onto the quilt. She turned each corner perfectly and was very happy with how they mitred their very own selves! This way of machining the binding in place, always helps....
These are my Mum's blocks.. YES!!! the very ones I gave her to do at home thinking that the triangles would slow her down a bit... well, that cunning plan didn't work at all... she is making the Saw Tooth border now... maybe she needs to do a Dear Jane?? he he he could I really be so mean...
Margaret finished her very chic Railfence table runner, made her sandwich and finished all of the quilting, she'll trim it and bind it the next time she comes to the Quilt Cave. She already chose her next project too... 'twill be butterflies.
Poor Helen... she presented the school with her wall hanging and they loved it! So much so..... they have asked her to make another one, double sided this time.... AND bigger! She thinks she is chuffed to bits to have been asked to make a commission quilt.... the challenge begins....
Remember Maid Marion brought in this almost finished quilt top?? I posted about it a few weeks ago... it had been sitting for years waiting to be finished... a true UFO if ever there was one..... well....
Now it is finished... sandwiched, quilted, bound and labeled. Brilliant... and what fabulous backing fabric!! There's so much to look at on this quilt... it should keep a kiddy happy for hours... and hours.

We meet again on Wednesday 22nd September, 10am - 3pm.
My little shop will be open for all your quilty needs, especially lovely threads and a choice of waddings.... Not forgetting Kettle Corner... well... that's always open!
