Caverswall Quilt Cave

Joan The Shop has enough of the Daizies completed to make the quilt centre.... in true Joan tradition, she has decided to make it a bit bigger! Two more Daizies for each row should add a further 6" to the width. By my calculation, with the border blocks, she only has fifty or so more small Daizies to make!
Irene made her first applique block, the thing with applique, I think, is the instant gratification you get when the picture looks just like you planned it to look... this is a very cute one! Margaret was a new lady today, she also had her first experience with Heat & Bond and applique... two happy ladies!
Arty Beryl is still loving her new Janome machine. Today she decided to play with her choice of fancy stitches... after designing her applique block she set to, trying them all out. She already has her favourites and those she may never use again... he he he
Norma had made a few blocks at home and is much happier with them now, so she continued to make more. She was following a pattern from a magazine, and quite precisely... but now, she has another plan, it involves some sashing with corner stones and it may be even bigger than intended.... Go for it Norma!
Lacey Ann is making it up as she goes... lots of fun if your nerves can take it! ha ha ha... later she added a 4-patch block border, separated by thin sashing with corner stones... there's just about everything in this little beauty.
Gilly's back from holiday and started a new project. First she had to fussy cut her main centre squares... hubby, John, invented a nifty gadget to help Gilly get everything centred up... (the shiny metal thing you see there) we might all make good use of that handy gadget..... daughter, Laura, was with us too for the last time as it's back to school next week.... she quilted the day away on her small quilt with denim.
What on earth is Dotty Maureen up to now???? Keep checking back and I am sure we'll see the progress soon enough.

REMEMBER it's our Jennie Rayment workshop on Friday, 3rd... unless you have booked a place, I'm affraid you just can't come to play... ha ha ha.... Next week though, we will be back to normal... whatever that is!
