Mrs. Lady From Derby

It's always fun when folk bring in their finished quilts, especially when you've been part of the process. A few weeks ago, this lovely lady came to visit Angie's Patchwork and Quilting Shop (My Very Own Quilt Shop... just in case you were wondering!! he he) She had been making the Kaleidoscope blocks at her quilt class and needed help to chose background fabrics... we auditioned many of them and had almost admitted defeat, the blue of her focus fabric wasn't playing very nicely with any of my lovely blues...
"Wait a minute...let's try grey?...
"Lovely"...
"How about this Moda Bella Solid turquoise-y-sea blue???"
"Perfect!"... sometimes we just have to dig deeper eh...
Doesn't the finished quilt look great, it's a wall hanging... See the tiny Kaleidoscope blocks used in the top and bottom border... a great way to use up any left over piles of Stacked-n-Whacked fabrics!!
Thank you for bringing your quilt to show us Mrs. Lady from Derby
