Sheila's been rooting in her piles, he he... She's a long time quilter and, as seems to happen to everyone eventually, she has piles of pieced blocks, unfinished projects and fabrics set aside for 'who can remember what' She dug out these strips to play with... Sheila made up a load of 9-Patch blocks during the day, just simple Railfence strips and 9-Patch... doesn't it look fabulous!
Krafty Karen continues to carefully piece together her Kaleidoscope blocks, the ones she started at our first workshop day. See... if you do a workshop in Angie's Classroom and don't finish your project in the allocated time (supposing you want to finish it of course) you can come to as many stitchy days as you want to to receive expert guidance and top tips as you go, I'll help you too! ha ha ha
That's exactly what Early Sue is doing too. She's been piecing at home in between meetings so all of her blocks are finished. We trimmed up the "gnats whisker" amounts from the block sides, the blocks are pretty much 15", and cut the sashing strips ready to get this quilt made into a top! Just a matter of deciding about the block placing.
Brenda Barbara quilted her Jennie Rayment quilt. She popped on her darning foot and green thread to quilt around the flowery centre... did a little doodling in the yellow centre too... switched to the walking foot to shadow quilt the outside of the flower, switched thread to pink to quilt borders... all those decisions to make... he he he all well worth it though. Brenda would like to finish this quilt before the Kaleidoscope workshop coming up soon... she's bang on track to do just that!
