Stitching News

Joan The Shop made poppy buds, they're a little tricky as the dark line in the centre is quite tiny-thin.
Can you see the lovely stitching detail that Joan added to the leaves?
She's cutting out the actual poppies now... the picture steadily comes to life!
Fran Cup Cake made more little Christmas tree quilts at home... she needed to know how to free-motion quilt... so we did that, then she needed to know how to couch... so we did that too... she picks thing up quickly eh! Time to add embellishment... for that Fran needs no help at all!
Sporty Sue is making a bag using a pattern in a magazine. The Square Dance block?... The Twister block? This method of making blocks has so many names these days... looking great though.
Sue had made beetroot and chocolate muffins for us all, yummy!
AnnBacan  treated herself to a Friday Quilt Club day.
We were able to sandwich her quilt quite early in the day so she could crack on with the quilting.
Jenny Barlaston is making a quilt with some beautiful Batik fabrics. I think she said that the pattern is called Pandora's Box and it's a commissioned work. She has about twenty four blocks made and had just started to choose the fabrics for many more blocks.
I'm hoping that you saw the little notice at the top of my blog on the right side there. I had lots of people asking me to organise a coach trip to the Festival Of Quilts at the NEC in August this year that I caved in and contacted the coach company. If you would like to be on our coach, please contact me by either popping over to the shop, email angiequilts@gmail.com or by calling 07807530441... there are 20 seats left for twenty more bottoms!
