Stitching News

Let's start with a toot toot toot fanfare for Carol's fabulous finish.
Carol finished this quilt top quite a while ago but after prolonged thinking, even after making the sandwich recently... she couldn't quite decide which quilting design she liked and she wanted to do...

Inspired by an idea she saw in my very own classroom
The penny dropped, boom! and all the lights came on too. Carol started the quilting during our Secret Sunday Sewing, Patchwork Party last weekend

And only a few days later the whole thing is finished...
Faux Piped Binding and all!
A fabulous and finished quilt Carol! toot toot toot.

Sporty Sue saw a wall hanging in her dentist's waiting room and was smitten. She enquired as to the maker and the pattern then popped online for a little retail therapy. These patterns came from here, be warned before you click on the link... there are lots of great patterns!

My Mum Gwynneth continues working on her hand pieced over papers, Tula Pink quilt... Diamonds In The Sky with it's lovely colours and fabrics. English Paper Piecing is very easily transported from here to there. This project was, and is, a kit still available in my very own shop.

Fruity Rose was chuffed to be able to make a quilt sandwich with this quilt top... She had purchased the fabrics with great enthusiasm last year but the pattern (from a magazine) got the better of her and it all ended up in a corner... quite unloved.
So now, just a year later... the elephant has been eaten...
One bite at a time!
