Stitching News, With Tooting

Our first fabulous and finished fanfare is for New Sue's Mug quilt...
What a great wall feature... or for a kitchen door!!... I find my very own self needing one now... Toot toot toot Sue... one tick on the Christmas list!
This Tuesday group might be responsible for wearing out my tooting trumpet... they produce many beautiful projects... Princess Jackie is responsible for loads... she finished her fabulous "Fish And Ships" quilt now... don't you love the name!!! ha ha ha, toot toot toot Jackie
Jean Bean arrived super early to make a Stargazy Daizie sandwich. Beautiful colours that remind me of Neapolitan Ice-cream! There's a lovely story to this quilt, it involves life's twists and turns. All hands on deck as the others arrived.... Jean prepared the binding first then made a good start with her quilting
Lovely Lyn continued with her colour demon quilt. The decision has been made though... she doesn't like the colours at all, not together in one quilt that is. We are all expecting Lyn to change her mind, once the quilt top is finished. Don't worry about that pretty spot fabric... It's not for Lyn's quilt... those colour demons weren't that crue to Lynl!!... it's Krafty Karen's inner border fabric
.
New Sue wanted to make a Dresden Plate cushion, it will be tick number two for the Christmas list. The Dresden feathers have been cut from 4 inch strips so they are extra cute!... what a rubbish picture though... I did notice that!
Krafty Karen added a few extra rows of 7" squares to her second gifting quilt top, then inner border strips were stitched on. She says she is really enjoying the uncomplicated design and how fast the whole thing comes together... it's coming along a treat eh...
PM Pam has decided to continue making English Paper Pieced Hexagons as a long term, portable project... what a mouthful that was!! Each Hexagon flower will be blanket stitched onto this most beautiful Moda Grunge fabric with an idea to make enough for a double bed size quilt... I'm quit excited about this... I love, love, love yellow and red together!!!
