Chrissie B's Quilt

Chrissie B started to play at Friday Quilt Cave meetings quite recently really, she's been a quilter for a good long time... this is the project she brought in to ask for a little help... we like helping... The appliqué hearts are hand pieced and were already hand quilted before she joined us... but that was enough, Chrissie wanted to finish the quilt by machine. When practising PMS (Pleasing My Self)  one can mix machine and hand work... Hooooray...!! It was a little difficult to stitch using the walking foot as the sandwich had been made without taping the backing taut, which is quite important to prevent pleats on the back, but with a little extra care and the 'calorie free, quilty fudge' that we love, it all turned out great... free motion doodles in the borders finished with faux piped binding... and there you have it... a beeeeautiful quilt and a much wiser Chrissie B!
