Kate's Quilt
TOOT, TOOT, TOOT... Oh yes, capital letters for this one, we need it very loud and tooty... Kate's been working on this huge project for a very long time. The beautiful blue appliqué is all hand stitched and the rest is sewing machine work. Kate joined all the blocks together and quilted them sort of free motion but using her walking foot, PMS (Pleasing My Self) That made the centre, which will sit on the top of a double sized bed. Kate then wanted to add 18" borders with 18" corner stones, which have lovely quilting on them that echoes the circular designs of the appliqué, these borders drape over the sides of the bed, all looking rather splendid I imagine... All of the elements have been joined together with the apartment method, which we use quite a lot in our meetings. Well done Kate... just 6-8 miles of binding to go, a label too and this quilt will be ready to use... what an achievement!

What a splendid quilt, Kate. Must have taken hours to turn out such a beauty. xx
That really is so pretty. Would love to be able to do something in colours like that but muddy pawprints make it impossible.
