Uttoxeter Quilt Class

Gillian's been doing her homework and came today with all of her 4" hour glass blocks finished and sewn into rows... after a few machine hic-cups, she almost managed to get them all sewn together. She decided to make another scrap quilt as homework but will use bigger squares for the next one.
Lizzy has finished her red 'Economy Patch' quilt top, the back is pieced too but we just don't have enough tables to make this huge sandwich... not a problem as she's going to pop over to Caverswall Quilt Cave on Friday to make good use of the tables there (and Dotty the pinner too). So, for now, she's also going to make a scrappy hour glass quilt using butterfly fabrics that she's been collecting for a while. This project will be in honour of Lizzie's Mum as she loved butterflies.
Messy Maureen not only finished all of her blocks, I think they're called Kansas Troubles, she was able to get the whole top finished and make a pieced backing from a recycled summer skirt so she will start our next class by making a fresh quilt sandwich.

We meet again on Tuesday 29th March, 10am - 3pm
