Caverswall Quilt Cave

Chatty Cathy was finishing her quilting on the borders. What a stunning quilt... She purchase this Alex Anderson book and decided to work her way through it to help improve her understanding of patchwork and to perfect her piecing skills... It worked for sure. The colours were chosen to represent the 'away' strip of Stoke City football club for Cathy's grandson... He's 'chuffed to bits' with it. There will be a Toot Toot Toot very soon.

Chris The Foot made two sandwiches with her not at all Christmassy quick table toppers as soon as there was space on the tables... we had a little queue for making sandwiches this week. In the meantime Chris stitched away at her piano key borders for the Chunky Churndash quilt she's been working on.
Ann came to play. She seems to have a never ending supply of blocks that were not turned into quilts, I know she's not the only one! Anyway... these blocks were made at a workshop Ann attended a while back... she couldn't decide on a setting so we played... it's the only way really, unless you have turned to a computer programme that does it for you... not as much fun... in my very own opinion of course.
We tried all the co-ordinating fabrics that Ann had brought along, we played with many different ways of putting them together... this is the one we decided on, well, Ann decided on it actually, it is her project after all, but I agreed! ha ha ha.... Two minutes later, these blocks were placed in a pile, in a bag, ready to be stitched together, then.... out came another pile, blues blocks this time... so we sorted that out too.
Helen made this quilt with the small pieces of fabric left over from the commission quilt she recently finished. Annie Pie helped Helen turn the little quilt into a pillow cover that will look great with the actual quilt. Can you tell Helen loves to quilt?
