Birte made this lovely table runner with the fabrics she had left after making her Bargello quilt, this is what she wrote to me...
"The snow is disappearing slowly. I WANT SPRING AND WARM WEATHER. So I made this table runner. Decorated with spring flowers it will look nice"
and she is quite right.. purples and yellows are perfect for fooling us into thinking it's spring, ha ha ha, Actually, we do have it very Spring like here in the UK, but Birte is a sun lover, living in East Germany, so you see why she is pining for spring. I really like the quilting Birte has done, how clever to run each line over the edge... no ends to tie off! love that idea, don't you?
